Two women kidnapped
From Our Correspondent PAKPATTAN: Two women were kidnapped on Friday. Accused Anjum Fareed and his accomplices kidnapped two women when they were returning after buying household things from Arifwala bazaar. Police have registered case. DRUG PEDDLERS HELD: Police Friday arrested drug peddlers and recovered narcotics from their possession. Police arrested accused Asim of Railway Gate, Arifwala with 4,260 gram charas, accused Munawar Hussain of Railway Gate, PAKPATTAN with 110 gram charas, accused Azhar Iqbal of Chak 19/SP with 115 gram charas, accused Ghulam Sabir of Chuggi Kameer, PAKPATTAN with 18 litre liquor, accused Muhammad Hussain of Railway Gate, PAKPATTAN with 15 litre liquor, accused Zahid Mahmood of Bridge Chak Rakh with 20 litre liquor, accused Irfan of Malka Hans with 6 litre liquor, and accused Nadeem of Malka Hans with 5 litre liquor. Police have registered cases. VALUABLES TAKEN AWAY: Locals were deprived of cash and valuables in three incidents on Friday. Thieves entered the house of Muhammad Manzoor of Green Town and stole cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 125,000. A thief stole water pump worth Rs 10,000 from the house of Abdul Rauf of Talliwala area. Five thieves stole motorbike of Kishwar Yaqoob from a roadside near district courts Pakpattan. THREE POS ESCAPE: Three proclaimed offenders (POs) escaped with the connivance of their accomplices. Police raided Chak 347/EB to arrest a PO who escaped with the assistance of his accomplice Mushtaq. Police on a tip-off raided Chak 347/EB to arrested a PO but he escaped with the help of his accomplice Shafique. Police reached Malka Hans to arrest a PO who escaped when his accomplice Shaukat informed him about police arrival. Police have registered cases. WOMAN TORTURED: Five gunmen tortured and stripped a woman of Chak Bedi on Friday. Accused Sadaqat Ali and his accomplices allegedly entered the house of Salma Bibi and injured her critically and tore her clothes, leaving her naked.
