Suicide attacks are considered haraam in Islam: Dr Zakir Naik
MEDINA: Re**wned Islamic scholar and founder of the Islamic Research Foundation, Dr Zakir Naik stated on Friday that Suicide bomb attacks were considered haraam in Islam, in which in**cents get killed.
Dr Naik was addressing the Indian media via Skype from Medina, Saudi Arabia. He began his address by condemning the recent attacks in Nice, where more than 80 people were killed after a truck driver mowed down in**cent French citizens. After being asked many questions regarding his views on terrorism, Dr Naik siad this about Suicide bombings:- "Suicide bombing is **t permitted in Islam where in**cent people are killed. Suicide bombing where in**cents are killed is haraam. But as tactic of war it is permitted say many scholars," he said. Dr Zakir Naik's Peace TV was banned in Bangladesh after it was revealed that one of the militants who attacked a cafe in Bangladesh was influenced by Dr Naik's speeches.
