Chandio warns COAS of admirers? pocket union
KARACHI: Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister on Information Maula Bux Chandio on Monday lauded the bold efforts of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif against terrorism. He said the government should explain the steps it was taking against extortion. While addressing the media, Maula Bux Chandio commented on the banners in support of General Raheel Sharif that were displayed on the roads of Rawalpindi and Islamabad on Monday. He said the COAS must beware, conscious and mindful of these “pocket unions” as they are out to defame the army chief. He said such unions also became active during the eras of Zia and Musharraf but they had ** sound backing of the people of the country. The Sindh CM’s adviser lambasted the federal government and also criticised a number of federal ministers.
