PTI may go to people?s court if justice denied to it: Imran
Addressing a gathering Tuesday of party members including MNAs, MPAs and ******-bearers from Punjab at an Iftar reception hosted by one of his party figures, Imran said a leader must be ‘Sadiq and Ameen’ and had the ability to take crucial decisions in the times of trouble. On the other hand, he said the rulers of Pakistan were scared of accountability at the hands of nation which was the main reason why they were **t mustering up the courage to return to country. He said within two weeks of Eidul Fitr, the PTI would devise its future strategy and would once again take to streets against the rulers if justice was denied to it. The PTI chairman further stated that our rulers spend Eid holidays, receive treatment and do shopping abroad which clearly showed they had ** concern with Pakistan. He also said in entire world, institutions were built to control corruption but here the rulers were using institutions to protect corrupt elements. Imran, criticising the accountability system stated that the bodies formed to nab corrupt elements spared big fish and took action against the small thieves. Questioning the role of NAB, Imran stated it must be acting transparently and treat all criminals alike rather than targeting a few and leaving the rest. Responding to the criticism of Interior Minister Ch Nisar, Imran stated during the sit-in days in 2014, he demanded across the board accountability and asked Nisar why he didn’t ask the PPP leadership about its assets in those days while Nawaz League government was in trouble and People’s Party was extending support to it. He said the PTI believed in across the board accountability and stated even he himself was found guilty; action must be taken against him. He also urged his workers **t to stand by him if he deviated from the ideology of Tehreek-e-Insaaf. Imran stated unless things were treated on merit, situation couldn’t change in Pakistan. Citing an incident of the PTI, Imran said once he refused party ticket to one of his close relatives, he turned against him. There could be ** compromise on principles, he added.
