6 die as roof of ice factory collapses in Karachi
KARACHI: Six people died when the roof of an ice factory collapsed in the city's New Karachi area.
According to details, the roof collapse of the ice factory was triggered by a boiler explosion. Scores of others were injured and rescue efforts were underway to rescue those who were trapped under the rubble. Sources disclosed that an ice factor located in the New Karachi area, was destroyed due to a boiler explosion. The loud explosion caused the roof to collapse and also decimated the walls of the ice factory. Rescue sources disclosed that at the time of the explosion, ten people were in the factory. These persons could be trapped under the rubble, according to the Rescue officials.
