Cop charged with criminal cases arrested, released
KARACHI: After arresting a police official involved in different crimes, Sukkur Police have released him on the directions of a senior police ******r, The News has learnt.
Head-Constable (HC) Shabeer Rajput of Sukkur Police range was arrested by police on June 24 this year due to his involvement in different criminal cases of murder, attempted murder, police encounter and kidnapping registered against him in different police stations of Sindh and Balochistan. Information about his arrest was conveyed to Kalri Police Station of Karachi as a case of kidnapping was registered against Shabeer Rajput there and he was absconder in the same matter but when a Karachi Police party headed by Supervising Investigation ******r (SIO) of Kalri Police Station Javed Ahmed reached Sukkur to take Rajput in custody they were informed that the detainee has been released. DIG Sukkur Feroze Shah told The News that Rajput is an in**cent person and all cases registered against him are fake and he was neither arrested **r released on his orders. “I am conducting an inquiry about the cases registered against him,” the DIG said. When reminded that the in**cence of any accused could be judged only by the courts of law and how can he inquire about the matters of murder, kidnapping, police encounters and other hei**us nature which were registered against the accused, the DIG refused to comment and advised this reporter to contact the SSP Sukkur on the matter. SSP Sukkur Amjad Sheikh ******* Rajput from service due to his involvement in criminal cases, the sources said. The sources added that such action of the SSP an**yed his senior ******r DIG Feroze Shah. The SSP confirmed his action while talking to The News but refused to comment upon the version of the DIG and told that as head of Sukkur district police he used his powers and threw away a criminal from police taking all possible efforts to arrest this culprit.
