افتراضي Federal govt increases surveillance at Sindh-Punjab border

RAHIM YAR KHAN: On the orders of the Federal government, a blockade was established at the Sindh-Punjab border to monitor the influx of suspicious persons from one province to the other.

After every eight hours, a new shift arrives for duty at the border. The blockade was established at the Sindh-Punjab border area of Kot Sabzal and Dao Wala.

40 police jawans including 3 SHOs and 12 lady constables are deployed at the border.

The blockade has been set up in order to monitor the movement of barrister Owais Ali Shah, the kidnapped son of the Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court. Owais was kidnapped last week from a supermarket in Karachi.

Police also suspected that the kidnappers could have taken Owais from one location to the other and dressed him up in female's clothes.

A search operation had been conducted earlier this week in Punjab for the recovery of the kidnapped barrister.
