ISLAMABAD: Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) high court has stayed de-**tification of Bashir Memon as the Inspector General of Police (IGP) of the State on a plea submitted by him.
The AJK government had asked its chief secretary to de-**tify Memon as the IGP. The federal government had refused to withdraw the ******r from Azad Kashmir. Memon pointed out in his petition filed in the high court while seeking halt of any proceedings including his de-**tification against him that the schedule for general elections in the AJK has been an**unced. The IGP pleaded that in case of his de-**tification by the chief secretary, a**ther senior ******r posted by the federal government in Azad Kashmir, he will have ** place to go to continue his service. He said that unless the federal government takes him back, he can’t relinquish his charge, and even after his de-**tification he will stay in Azad Kashmir Since his posting in AJK over three months back, State Premier Chaudhry Abdul Majeed has written two letters to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, urging him to withdraw the IGP. However, the federal government paid ** heed to such requests and asked Memon to continue. Fresh elections are scheduled to be held in Azad Kashmir on July 21, which means that the new administration will be in place in AJK after three weeks following the polls. The present ruling Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is a major contestant in the upcoming elections apart from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). أكثر... ??????? ??????: AJK high court stays IGP?s de-**tification || ??????: ahlam1399 || ??????: اسم منتداك
