MQM an**unces three-day mourning over Sabri?s killing *
KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has an**unced three-day mourning over the killing of prominent qawwal Amjad Sabri in a firing incident in Karachi.
In an emergency meeting, MQM’s Coordination Committee an**unced to mourn unfortunate death of Sabri and decided to hold all the political activities for three days in his ho**r. It said that the black flags would be waved at all party ******s and besides wearing black arm bands. Amjad Sabri was shot dead by unk**wn terrorists in Liaquatabad on Wednesday after**on. Initial details of the attack suggest that two unidentified gunmen riding on a motorcycle opened fire at his car. Sabri was heading for the studio of a private television channel along with his brother Saleem Sabri to take part in the Iftari transmission when he was attacked. His brother got injured and his condition is stable, police said. Amjad Sabri was son of the re**wned qawwal of the sixties Ghulam Farid Sabri and the nephew of qawwali icon Maqbool Sabri who passed away in 2011.
