Kangana criticizes Salman over rape remark
Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut reacted sharply to Salman Khan's 'rape' comment and stated that it was highly insensitive.
Salman Khan is a much-adored celebrity who has always been loved by millions around the globe. The Bollywood superstar however, has most recently earned the ire of Indians, especially women, when he made an insensitive remark. Referring to his grueling training schedule, Salman said:- "It is the most difficult thing," the 50-year-old actor told reporters. “When I used to walk out of that ring, it used to be like a raped woman walking out." Salman has since been receiving flak by mostly the civil society and liberal activists. However, most recently, Kangana Ranaut joined the bandwagon and also criticized the actor's comments. This is what Kangana said when asked about Salman Khan's comments:- "We all agree that it’s a horrible thing to say. Something that is extremely insensitive. But let’s **t encourage that mentality where we want to point fingers at each other and want to feel greater by running people down by trolling them," she said. Kangana said it was the fault of **t one individual but society as a whole who encouraged that thought process. "As a society we have to take responsibility and stand united. It’s a disgrace for the whole society and **t an individual. So, like what Salim uncle says is right, that we are all sorry about it. It’s **t about an individual. We all collectively feel sorry for that thought process," she said.
