World needs to stand with Pakistan in terror war, says COAS
The army chief met German Foreign Minister Frank Walter Steinmeier at the German Foreign Ministry. Discussions focused on bilateralism, regional security and peace in region, the ISPR said. The German foreign minister ack**wledged Pakistan’s contribution in the war against terrorism and regional peace. He said Germany understands Pakistan’s challenges and assured full support for Pakistan’s efforts for stability and peace in the region. The COAS also held an interactive session in the Koerber Foundation, a re**wned think tank in Berlin. Objective and candid discourse on the country’s environment and security issues was held on the occasion. The army chief explained in detail the challenges faced by Pakistan and contribution towards peace and stability in the region. He said Pakistan is successfully moving towards the closure of the Operation Zarb-e-Azb. He said the army has cleared the entire Fata region up to borders and also busted terrorist linkages and networks. “We have sacrificed immensely more than any other nation.
