SHC asks NAB to present detailed report on Dr Asim's brother-in-law

KARACHI: Sindh High Court asked NAB's investigating ******r to bring forth material and a detailed report against Dr Asim's brother-in-law Khalid bin Shaheen, on Tuesday.

According to details, during a proceeding relating to NAB's investigation regarding Khalid bin Shaheen, NAB prosecutor said that Khalid bin Shaheen was being investigated in the two references against Dr Asim. He also said that Dr Asim had made revelations about Khalid bin Shaheen in the Joint Investigation Report.

NAB claimed that Khalid bin Shaheen formed a company by the name of Home Remittance and he transferred millions abroad in an illegal way. To this, Shaheen's attorney replied that Rangers as well as FIA had grilled him for three hours and **t revealed as to what he was accused of.

The court summoned the investigating ******r on June 14 with material against Khalid bin Shaheen and a detailed report, for further proceedings.

Dr Asim, a close aid of former Pakistani president Asif Ali Zardari and a PPP leader, was arrested on charges of corruption and financial embezzlement.
