KARACHI: Media Cell Bilawal House has contradicted a news item aired by a section of electronic media that PPP-P President Asif Ali Zardari has formed a Party committee to probe into Panama Leaks.
In a contradiction issued here, Media Cell Bilawal House said that PPP has already formed a Parliamentary committee and a Legal committee in this regard and the news about any new committee as reported Tuesday by certain media outlets was false.
Former interior minister and senior Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader, Senator Rehman Malik a day before claimed that his party’s co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has formed a committee under him to probe the issue of offshore companies in the wake of Panama Papers revelations.
Speaking to media representatives in London, Malik said he was asked by the former president to present him a report regarding the offshore companies issue in one week’s time.
