JuD, JeM banned: Rana Sana
LAHORE: Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) and Jaish-e-Mohammed are banned outfits in Pakistan and they are **t allowed to carry out any activity.
In an interview to BBC Urdu, the Punjab law minister claimed that the Punjab government was aggressively taking actions against all the extremist elements of the province and the allegation of **t doing e**ugh on the part of his government was totally baseless. After the launch of Operation Zarb-e-Azb, civilian and military establishment had vowed that the Pakistani soil will **t be used against any country, the minister remarked, adding any terrorism and extremism act will **t be acceptable at all. Rana Sana further said all the operations in the Punjab are part of Zarb-e-Azb and are being conducted jointly by the army, police and other law enforcement agencies. He further said such actions will be continued till the elimination of terrorism as well as their safe havens. When asked, the minister said “How can Punjab intervene and take action against Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) and Jaish-e-Mohammed when the state itself has been involved in patronizing them?” He said when the state was behind these banned organisations, ** legal action could be initiated against them and they could **t be prosecuted.
