"I think it hit us when we saw the interview with Vint Cerf, who we've ho**red and had at the show, talking about how it was impossible for the Internet to be broken,"*David-Michel Davies, executive director of The Webby Awards, told Mashable in an email interview.
"That's when it sort of hit us that this phrase we've all been using for so long, people were breaking the Internet in the late '90s, had actually become mainstream,"*Davies said.*"And would be a great way of recognizing what was truly globally big in a given year." Read more...
