Nawaz?s top priority is peaceful neighbourhood: Basit
New Delhi: Pakistan High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit said Pakistan is committed to **rmalising relations with India in line with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s vision of a peaceful neighbourhood.
He was addressing the sixth meeting of Pakistan-India Joint Business Forum in New Delhi on Tuesday.The high commissioner said we must work together to ensure peace and prosperity for posterity. Abdul Basit appreciated the work being done by the Pakistan-India Joint Business Forum towards augmenting bilateral eco**mic and trade relations between the Asian neighbours. He said the work and recommendations of the Forum would come in handy whenever the comprehensive dialogue between the two countries commences. Highlighting the opportunities for strengthening relations that exist between the two countries, the high commissioner stressed on the need to embark on a process that is both sustainable and mutually beneficial.We need to create a level-playing field that helps create inter-dependencies, he added.
