Army Chief ratifies death sentences of 11 terrorists
Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Tuesday confirmed the death sentences of 11 convicts tried by military courts, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
The 11 hardcore terrorists were involved in committing hei**us offences related to terrorism which include killing and kidnapping civilians’ attacks on the armed forces and law enforcement agencies (LEAs) and destruction of schools and communication infrastructure, ISPR said. All culprits were tried in the military courts after which General Raheel Sharif finalised the death sentences. Earlier on March 15 the Army Chief had confirmed death sentences of 13 militants including one involved in the killing foreign tourists in Nanga Parbat.
