PESHAWAR: Inspector General of Police, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Nasir Khan Durrani, on Monday awarded officials of the Buner Police for arresting three wanted militants carrying head bounty worth one million rupees each.
The awards were distributed among the cops at a ceremony held at CPO. The Buner Police had arrested three wanted militants identified as Badshah Hussain, Farman and Imran. They belonged to Upper Dir and were nabbed during an attempt to enter Buner district via Kingar Gali.
The militants were wanted in attacks on police stations in 2009 in Buner district. They had killed a cop and injured four others during these attacks.
The awardees included Circle ******r Pir Baba, SDPO Farmanullah, SHO PS Jowar Sub-Inspector Hussain Zada Khan, Constables Lalzamin, Sher Wali, **or Malok, Mumtaz Rahim, SPO Said Johar and driver Muslim.
