RAWALPINDI: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Thursday witnessed the ongoing exercises of a corps near Jhelum. The exercise is being conducted in an overall framework of effectively repulsing an enemy offensive through integrated application of artillery, air and combat aviation firepower, the ISPR news release stated. The COAS expressed complete satisfaction over the high standard of operational preparedness and appreciated the professional skills displayed by the participating troops. Earlier on arrival, the COAS was received by Lieutenant General Ikram Ul Haq, Commander 30 Corps, and Major General Sarfraz Sattar, General ******r Commanding, 8 Division.
