Federal govt should fulfil promise on CPEC?s Western Route: APC
PESHAWAR: An All Parties Conference (APC) on Monday unanimously asked the Federal government to ho**ur its commitment with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government on the timely completion of the China-Pakistan Eco**mic Corridor (CPEC)’s Western Route with all facilities.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had convened the APC at the Chief Minister’s House. The parliamentary leaders of all the major political parties attended the event. A briefing was arranged for the invitees on the issue and the stance of the provincial government. The participants were apprised of the KP government’s communication with the Federal government and the latter’s commitments and pledges on the issue of the CPEC. Besides PTI Chairman Imran Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, ANP parliamentary leader Sardar Hussain Babak, JUI-F’s Mehmood Bhittani, PPP’s Syed Mohammad Ali Shah and Salim Khan, Jamaat-i-Islami’s (JI) Inayatullah, who is senior minister for local government, Qaumi Watan Party’s (QWP) Aneesa Zeb Tahirkheli, who is also the labour minister, and provincial president Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Intikhab Chamkani, provincial ministers Shah Farman, M Atif and Shahram Khan Tarakai, and chief minister’s special assistants Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani, Arif Yousaf and Abdul Karim attended the event. Pervez Khattak observed the Federal government had **t fulfilled its commitment with them on the facilities and timely completion of the Western Route of the CPEC. He said the Federal government should stop having double standards on this important issue.
