says Tamir Rice settlement money should be
used for gun education
Hours after it was an**unced that the family of
Tamir Rice had settled with the City of Cleveland for $6 million stemming from the boy's death, a representative from the
Cleveland Police Department's
union caused controversy over his suggestion of what the family
should do with the money.

statement issued on Monday after**on after the
settlement was an**unced, Stephen Loomis, president of the
Cleveland Police Patrolmen's Association, said:*
Loomis' comments were met with harsh criticism **t only because of the context of Rice's death at the hands of a
Cleveland police ******r on **v. 22, 2014, but because of previous comments he's made about the shooting.*
