A 99-year-old San Francisco woman has won an eviction reprieve, and for **w won't have to leave the apartment where she has lived since the 1940s.

Eleven years ago, Iris Canada was promised she could keep living in her apartment for the rest of her life, for $700 a month, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Lawyers for the unit's owners — Peter Owens, Stephen Owens and Carolyn Radisch — contend the retired nurse has **t lived continuously in the flat and has failed to keep up the place.
