Reminder: Your Netflix bill might go up soon

Over the past couple years, the video streaming service has inched its monthly subscription price from $7.99 to $9.99, the standard rate for a high-definition plan as of last fall.* SEE ALSO: Why streaming content without using up data could violate net neutrality But anyone who was a subscriber before the first price hike — in May of 2014 — still pays the $7.99 rate, thanks to Netflix's exemptions for those grandfathered into the plan.
