Scores arrested as French labor protests turn violent
   Police in Paris arrested 130 people on Tuesday amid country-wide protests by students opposed to controversial labor reforms being championed by the Socialist government, the same day the bill was due to go before parliament. SEE ALSO: Tens of thousands rally across France to protest labor reform The arrests were made after some of the demonstrators began throwing projectiles including stones, glass bottles and eggs at security forces, Paris police said. Police responded with tear gas and charged the protesters several times to disperse the crowd. The French cities of Marseille, Lille, Nantes, Rennes and Strasbourg also saw large-scale protests.
