Indian man travels in search of a better job, lands a Rs 10 million lottery
When 22-year-old Mofijul Rahima Sheikh left his home town in West Bengal to look for work in the southern Indian state of Kerala, little did he k**w that he would hit the jackpot in just three days.
Sheikh arrived in Kerala to look for work only last week, to earn more to support his parents, wife and eight-month-old daughter. He had started working at a construction company, and used his first wage to buy a state lottery ticket for just Rs 50 (75 cents) on Mar. 4.
