Though high-profile BJP leader Vi**d Tawde controls more than half a dozen key portfolios, peace has been eluding him ever since he was inducted into the cabinet in October 2014. In his affidavit before the Election Commission, Tawde had submitted that he is a graduate in electronics and that he holds a degree from a Pune-based university. But his rivals in the Congress and NCP found that the degree has ** value as ?the university from which he has obtained it is **t recognized by the UGC?. Tawde did admit that the university is **t recognized, but he said he had completed the four-and-half-year course. The controversy was followed by a row over his educational qualification and then there was a**ther debate over display of photographs at educational institutions.
