During Thursday evening's streaming Nintendo Direct presentation, Nintendo's home Japanese division showed off a sweet New 3DS XL handheld inspired by the Super Famicom — the Japanese version of the Super Nintendo.

With face buttons inspired by the original Super Famicom controller, and an exterior that looks like the top of that console, it's hard to deny the **stalgia-enlaced coolness of This New 3DS XL.
