Having left the Calder Valley in a rather sorry state of affairs after Detective John Wadsworth murdered Vicky Fleming (the woman with whom he was having an affair), we return this week to yet a**ther murder investigation. But, rather than jumping straight into the action, we are instead met with a somewhat reluctant Catherine Cawood. Sat in perhaps the most uninviting room across from perhaps the most uninviting shrink, Catherine is in therapy and she isn’t best pleased about it
