Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) an**unced it has completed 35% of the 328km Al Mafraq-Al Ghweifat road project, worth .4bn (AED5.3bn). The road project, which will be completed by 2017, links cities of the Western Region, and seeks to ease traffic flow on the highway, state agency WAM reported. Eng. Faisal Al Suwaidi, director-general of main roads at the UAE's Department of Transport (DoT), said the DoT in partnership with Musanada has prepared the final designs of Al Mafraq-Al Ghweifat international road, a main land artery that links the UAE with neighbouring countries. Eng. Omer Al Mansouri, acting director of DoT's roads department at Musanada, said the government of Abu Dhabi is keen to boost the quality of infrastructure through approval and implementation of projects that support development, including Al Mafraq-Al Ghweifat road.
