Women on “the pill” k**w all too well that skipping a day’s dose may lead to an unwanted pregnancy, yet many still end up forgetting or put it off to the next day. A young OB-GYN doc, herself a fan of the pill, has come up with a tech**logical Solution that helps to Make Sure that every day’s regimen is being followed. The Oviary is an Electronic box that is loaded with the pills’ blister pack and paired with a smartphone running a*matching app. Every time the device is opened, it communicates with the app to record that day’s successful administration. But, if the Oviary is ig**red, the app makes Sure to send you reminders to take the pill. There’s also a display on the top of the box with simple to read lights that show you how much time is left to take that day’s dose on time.
The device connects to the home WIFI network and during setup the user’s phone number is recorded. When the timing of when the Pill needs to be taken is about to expire, the Oviary sends a reminder text message, followed by a**ther after the expiration time if the Pill is still ig**red. This final reminder helpfully comes with **tes on how to stay protected since the Pill has **t been ingested.
The Oviary is **t quite for sale yet, but the developers behind the project are raising funds on Kickstarter to commercialize it into a real product. Here’s a promo video for the Oviary:
