You can’t make an omelette without breaking a few commandments, according Barbara Walters and the “we” she referred to (::cough:: mainstream media ::cough::) who once thought Obama was going to be the “next messiah.”

PIERS MORGAN, HOST: You have interviewed every president of my lifetime. Why is Obama facing so much opposition **w? Why is he struggling so much to really fulfill the great flame of ambition and excitement that he was elected on originally in 2009?

Barbara WALTERS: Well, you’ve touched on it to a degree. He made so many promises. We thought that he was going to be – I shouldn’t say this at Christmastime, but – the next messiah. And the whole ObamaCare, or whatever you want to call it, the Affordable Health Act, it just hasn’t worked for him, and he’s stumbled around on it, and people feel very disappointed because they expected more.

Here’s Walters in 2009, laughably speaking about objectivity:

“It used to be, and I still feel that it is, that we do **t — if you’re in the news business you do **t give your personal opinions about major issues. I don’t even when I’m on The View. **body k**ws how I feel about the right to life, or how I feel about a presidential candidate, etc. Because I’m in the news business.”

If you’re going to say you thought a candidate was going to be “the next messiah,” e**ugh said — you’ve pretty much given away your personal opinion about major issues.
