Tracy Morgan spoke out for the first time on the Today show on Monday about the Deadly June 2014 bus Crash that nearly claimed his life. Tracy, who suffered brain trauma, a broken leg, and broken ribs after a Walmart truck hit his limo on the New Jersey Turnpike last Summer, was a far cry from his usual self when he broke Down in tears while talking about his late friend and mentor, comedian James McNair, who lost his life in the crash. "The case is settled, but the pain is always going to be there for Jimmy Mac," Tracy said. "Bones heal, but the loss of my friend will never heal. He was a loving man. He was a warm man. He was a good man." The comedian, who said he doesn't remember the accident, only the aftermath, also opened up to Matt Lauer about how he's doing **w. "I've been down," he said. "I had my family. I have my wife [Megan Wollover] - we're about to be married - and my daughter, my son, to keep my spirits up."
The Interview comes just one week after Tracy reached an undisclosed settlement with Walmart. "Walmart did right by me and my family and for my associates and their families," he said at the time. "I am grateful that the case was resolved amicably." He also spoke about the settlement on Today, saying, "I'm happy that Walmart stepped up to the plate in a tremendous way . . . They took full responsibility. I'm just really happy that they looked out for Jimmy Mac's family, because I k**w my friend can rest in peace **w." Watch the emotional full Interview above.
