Baghdad, May 27 (IANS) Iraqi security forces and allied militias on Wednesday reclaimed positions from Islamic State (IS) militants near the city of Ramadi, capital of Anbar province, a provincial security source said. The Iraqi army, police, Sunni tribal fighters and Shia militias, k**wn as Hashd Shaabi (Popular Mobilization), clashed with IS militants seeking to enter the Anbar University compound, just south of Ramadi, 110 km west of Baghdad, the source told Xinhua news agency.
