She took on the classic 1965 single "California Dreamin'" by The Mamas & The Papas for the Soundtrack to the upcoming film San Andreas. Her take trades in the slow-burning folk sound for a version backed by haunting orchestral instrumentals, complete with choir. The second verse speeds things up with a hard-driving drum machine and other layered production elements that takes you through the rest of the song.
