The FDA recently approved the implantable StimRouter Peripheral Nerve Stimulation System from Bioness, a Valencia, California firm. We just got exclusive images of the product, including the lead implant, the pulse transmitter, and the wireless remote control.
The lead is positioned near the Nerve causing chronic pain in a Minimally Invasive surgical procedure. The external pulse transmitter is stuck to the skin over the site of the implant using a tape adhesive and the control unit is programmed by the physician.
