Kevin Hart has spoken out about the uncomfortable emails leaked in the Sony hack. One Email chain included statements by Sony Screen Gems President Clint Culpepper criticizing Hart over a dispute involving marketing a new movie. Clint wanted Kevin to promote one of his ****** on his popular social media accounts, but Kevin and his agent felt that since extra social media marketing was outside the scope of their stated contract, he should be compensated for the extra promotion. Clint wrote of Kevin's demands for more money, "I'm **t saying he's a whore, but he's a whore."
In response, Kevin shared an impassioned message on both his Instagram and his Facebook pages encouraging others to remember their self-worth. He touched on his personal career and brand, stating, "I worked very hard to get where I am today. I look at myself as a brand and because of that will never allow myself to be taking advantage of." Though he never mentions the email, Kevin also responded more directly to the criticism. "I'm able to brush ig**rance off of my shoulder and continue to move forward," he said.
