?Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare? Update Makes A Ton Of Fixes

Try not to get too excited, but the latest Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare patch notes are here. While the most recent Update obviously wasn’t quite as substantial as last week’s massive Season Two offering, Infinity Ward have delivered plenty of welcome Fixes and tweaks.


The latest Update was essentially formed of a one-two punch of two patches that were put out one after the other. The first made a number of Fixes for bugs and glitches in Modern Warfare multiplayer, while the second addressed Regiment tags and issues with Battle Pass token claims.

• Fix for Regiment tags not appearing as intended.
• Fix for players receiving the “Jockworth” error while in Gunfight Tournaments.
• Fix for a bug where numbers on the team roster and numbers on the COD Caster minimap did not correspond.
• Pointman: Fix for an issue where Killchain scores were being given for killstreak kills without having Killchain equipped.
• Fix for a CDL Gunsmith exploit.

And below is a tweet detailing the smaller, but no less important, patch that went live yesterday.

While it’s not entirely surprising, fans will no doubt be a little gutted to learn that the latest Update made no mention of Modern Warfare‘s long-rumoured battle royale mode. A number of in-game teases emerged as part of the Season Two Update that seemed to suggest an official reveal of the mode – supposedly called Warzone – is imminent.


According to reports, Warzone will be released in early March, and will support up to 200 players, as well as solo, duos, and four-player matches. It’ll also have a ping mechanic not unlike the one in Apex Legends, and will take place across an expansive map made up of locations new and old.


Most recently, players spotted a new ‘Hazardous Bundle’ in the Modern Warfare in-game store. They believe that this bundle contains yet more clues that a chemical warfare-themed battle royale is on the way in the next few weeks, thanks to a “Toxic Event” emblem that portrays a green cloud and menacing floating above a city.


This would line up nicely with the supposed glimpse of the battle royale we got in the season two trailer, that showed a mysterious green mist hovering in the background of the map. The plot continues to thicken, then.
