Woman Trapped In Her Flat By ?Snake? That Turned Out To Be A Toy
A Woman was left stuck in her Flat for two entire days because she thought she’d spotted a snake in the hallway. It Turned out to be a toy snake probably left there as a prank. The terrified Woman called the RSPCA on two separate occasions, alerting them to what she thought was an escaped and dangerous reptile. When the officers eventually arrived they found That the Woman was so petrified That ‘she hadn’t left her flat’ for the entire duration. They also discovered That the small yellow snake was – in actual fact – a plastic toy That could have been left outside as a joke. The Woman claimed she saw the snake in two separate locations outside her flat, in Fleet in Hampshire, on Thursday.  Credit: SWNS RSPCA Inspector Jan Edwards explained: “The Woman spotted the snake in the communal hallway of her block of flats.“The following day she spotted it on the windowsill and contacted us to say she was worried because it didn’t appear to be moving. “I went down to help and, when I arrived, it quickly became clear That it wasn’t an escaped pet snake – but a child’s plastic toy. “I think someone may have been playing a prank on the poor woman. She had been so frightened That she hadn’t left her flat.” Jeezo, what a prank to play on someone. To give the potential perpetrator the benefit of the doubt, perhaps they were just hoping That the Woman would emerge from her Flat and get a bit of a jump, thinking there was a snake.  Credit: SWNS It seems as if – if this was a prank after all – it went way beyond what the joker could have expected and got massively out of hand.That probably offers scant consolation to the poor housebound Woman sat for two days inside her home fearing for her life. Anyway, the ‘crisis’ was averted and the Woman – although she probably feels a bit sheepish – has been able to continue her life as normal. As for the plastic snake itself, it has received a new lease of life and now travels everywhere with Inspector Edwards as a mascot in the front window of her van. Sure, it’s a bit silly, and a little bit of a waste of everyone’s time, but at least it wasn’t a real venomous snake sitting outside her house, right?
