Former Eastenders and Celebrity Big Brother star Gillian Taylforth, who plays Sandy Roscoe, said she would give her nomination to the Marie Curie nurses. She said: â??I think they do a spectacular job and they were great to my mum.â?* Ayden Callaghan, who plays Joe Roscoe in the Channel 4 soap, said the awards were great for rewarding local heroes. He said: â??Itâ??s for those types of people who go out into their community and donâ??t get the recognition.â?* Actress Jazmine Franks, who plays Esther Bloom, said: â??I love the Pride of Britain awards, it makes me cry so much.â?* Nominations for the awards can be made at www.prideofbritain.com or by picking up a nomination form at your local Lidl store. All nominations must be received by Friday, August 16.
