Paul McCartney?s Children In Need rider: What three things did he ask for?

</p> As a Beatle, Sir Paul McCartney could get anything he wants, whenever he wants it.

But the Liverpool legend has a very modest rider for his newly announced gig at Chris Evansâ?? pub.

Warrington-born DJ Chris revealed Sir Paul – who has agreed to do the fundraiser for Children In Need – has made â??few requestsâ?*.

He said: â??He wants some mineral water – still, heâ??d like some organic dips, and some vegetables and a bowl of fruit.â?*

Macca will be the headline act at the 10th annual Dine and Disco for Children in Need next year.

The special show will take place on Saturday June 25 at The Mulberry Inn to an audience of just 80 auction winners.

Chris announced the news on his Radio 2 breakfast show yesterday as part of his auctions for Children In Need.

The new Top Gear host said: “Weâ??ve had loads of people play over the last 10 years. Next year itâ??s the 10th anniversary of the Dine and Disco at my pub, therefore itâ??s the last one ever.

â??It was always going to be the last one anyway – and it’s so serendipitous that Paul McCartney has agreed to play it.â?*

Sir Paul went on air yesterday to speak to Chris about why he decided to help out.

All the tiickets for the show had been auctioned off by 9.30am, raising آ£2 million – the highest ever raised.

‘Itâ??s been a long time since Iâ??ve played at a pub’

The Beatles star said he “immediately agreed” to doing the Children In Need fundraiser.

He told Chris: “It was backstage at the BBC – you said â??will you come to my pub?â??. I said â??yeah sureâ??.

â??Basically, me and the band are showing up. Itâ??s great. Itâ??s been a long time since Iâ??ve played at a pub.

â??My cousin had a pub in Reading, and me and John actually hitch-hiked down there. We were having a little holiday kind of thing and we worked in a bar all week. And John said â??why donâ??t you play something, you know, play at a pub one night?â??. So we did, we played.”

‘Itâ??s going to be a party’

He added: â??Itâ??ll be great. Weâ??re not massive planners in the band. Even if weâ??re doing some big special gig we kind of tend to just figure it out the hour before. So we will. Weâ??ll probably talk to you, see What we want, if youâ??ve got any requests, and then completely ignore you.

â??We are going to have a great fun night. Itâ??s going to be a party, itâ??s going to be a laugh. Weâ??re going to have a bit of a sing-a-long, and weâ??ll do something old, new, old, blue, whatever. Weâ??ll make it work.â?*
