Watch: After Eight Challenge video sees Liverpool stars do charity battle

</p> Kop legend Kenny Dalglish led celebrities as they went forehead to forehead in this year’s After Eight Challenge.

Now in its second year, the Challenge supports Kennyâ??s wifeâ??s cancer charity The Marina Dalglish Appeal.

Hollyoaks stars Kieron Richardson and Jazmine Franks were among those who went into battle, while singer Mel C also encouraged fans to get involved.

Actor Ricky Tomlinson reached for the mints, crediting Coleen Rooney â??s “little nose” for her success last year.

The Liverpool WAG – who was female champion in last yearâ??s Challenge – had the upper hand as Ricky ended up losing his mint down the back of his chair.

Iâ??m A Celebrityâ??s George Shelley may have been crowned King of the Jungle but he struggled to complete the After Eight Challenge.

And while Kenny set a brilliant time of 5.44 seconds, Stereo Kicksâ?? Jake Sims manoeuvred the mint in just one second.

Kenny said: â??The After Eight Challenge is a great After dinner game, especially during the festive season.

“We want to get even more people involved this year and encourage them to donate to the Marina Dalglish Appeal and support a great cause.â?*

Celebrities take on the After Eight Challenge
So how do you play the game?

Form two teams and line up with a box of After Eight Mints â?? the first person in each team pops one on their forehead and has to manoeuvre it down to their mouth without using their hands.

As soon as they get it in their mouth the next person can start, and so on and so forth until the team have completed and are crowned the winner!

Last year’s champs

The 2014 After Eight Challenge spread like wildfire, and subsequently saw the likes of Taylor Swift, Jack Whitehall, Freddie Flintoff and the Scotland International Football team getting involved to raise money for the charity.

Coleen Rooney and Jamie Redknapp became the new King and Queen of Kennyâ??s After Eight Challenge in 2014, both completely smashing Kennyâ??s previous time, with Jamie coming in at 3.5 seconds and Coleen undertaking it in an outstanding 3.0 seconds.

The challenge

Kenny challenged the nation to take part in the After Eight Challenge to make a mint for his wifeâ??s cancer charity – The Marina Dalglish Appeal, which was started by Marina After she was diagnosed back in 2003.

After receiving fantastic support and care during Marinaâ??s treatment, the family wanted to give something back and make a difference to others.
