Christopher Maloney to sing for Liverpool?s lonely on Christmas Day
</p> Former X Factor star Christopher Maloney will be giving up a big part of his Christmas Day to help ensure hundreds of people in Liverpool donâ??t spend it alone. White Christmas Liverpool offers a meal and entertainment to 500 elderly people and those who would otherwise spend the day on their own. This yearâ??s event is being held at the Titanic Hotel and Christopher is one of the volunteers. The Kirkdale singer has already been doing his bit to help others this Christmas in memory of James Bulger. </p>  Christopher delivers presents on behalf of the James Bulger Memorial Trust Today, as as patron of the James Bulger Memorial Trust, he delivered presents to the NSPCC Liverpool. Speaking about his next festive gesture, he said: â??Iâ??m delighted to be rolling my sleeves up and helping serve the dinners to everyone on Christmas Day. â??I know only too well that not everyone is lucky enough to have a family.â?* The 37-year-old will also perform a few festive songs. </p>  Christopher at home with his dog Scampy Christopher – who is currently playing Captain Hook at The Grange Theatre in Hartford – added: â??No one should spend Christmas alone. “I’m really looking forward to spending my Christmas Day in such a special way.â?* Clare Johnson, project manager at White Christmas Liverpool, said she was â??overwhelmedâ?* that the former call centre worker will be giving up his only day off during the busy pantomime period to help out. She said: â??I cannot thank Chris enough for his extremely kind offer. I know this will just make the day so extra special for everyoneâ?* White Christmas Liverpool is a not-for-profit event and is run solely by volunteers who give their time to ensure people donâ??t have to spend the day alone.
