J.K.
Rowling wades into the
junior doctors strike with 2
stinging tweets

LONDON —
J.K. Rowling has tweeted her full support to
junior doctors who have begun an all-out
strike in England for the first time in the history of the NHS, the country's publicly funded healthcare system.*
In response to an Scottish politics reporter who accused
doctors of hypocrisy over the dispute, the
Harry Potter writer tweeted:*
Thousands of
junior doctors in England are taking part in the all-out
strike protesting terms of a new contract
with the government.*
The dispute is centred on weekend pay and Saturday work rules.
