MRI AutoDetect, which makes the Edora SR-T the smallest MR conditional device on the market, is a setting that is enabled by a physician up to fourteen days prior to an MRI scan. When the patient wearing the pacemaker gets close to the magnet, the implant switches into a special safe mode to prevent any ab**rmal events. After the scan is complete and the patient is out of the scanner, the implant automatically reverts into its **rmal state. The smaller Edora SR-T weighs only 21 grams and has a volume of 10 cc, yet may supposedly offer up to 13 years of battery life. The Edoras also wirelessly connect to BIOTRONIK’s Home Monitoring system that lets cardiologists keep a close eye on their patients, and Closed Loop Stimulation, the what the firm touts as “the most physiological rate response.” Sopme additional features of the Edora pacemakers according to their product page: Product page: Edora 8 DR-T/SR-T… Via: BIOTRONIK… http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/Medgadget?d=yIl2AUoC8zA http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/Medgadget?d=qj6IDK7rITs http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/Medg...MA:gIN9vFwOqvQ http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/Medgadget/~4/KoXCKB946zg |
