Homeless musician's beloved violin replaced by local orchestra after theft

Mark Landry finally has his music back.

The Montreal musician, who is homeless and frequently busks in the city's Metro system, was gutted when his violin was stolen earlier this week. Luckily, a kind Facebook user posted a message on his behalf — and it caught the attention of L'Orchestre Métropolitain, a Montreal orchestra.

Orchestra representatives got in touch with a local violin shop, Maison du Violin. After hearing Landry's story, the owner offered to provide a new violin at a reduced cost.
