And **w apparently it's getting re-imagined yet again, as*Variety reports (http://variety.com/2014/film/news/battlestar-galactica-movie-gets-new-life-at-universal-exclusive-1201153687/) that Universal is planning to start a film franchise based on the show that will feature a new writing team from the one that made BSG a hit during its run from 2004 through 2009. Variety says that screenwriter*Jack Paglen, who is the screenwriter*for upcoming*sci-fi films Transcendence (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2209764/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1a) and the sequel to Prometheus (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1446714/?ref_=nv_sr_1), has signed on to write the re-re-imagined BSG.*Variety doesn't give us any information on the film's casting or its release date, so it's very likely that the new BSG is still quite a ways off.
