Augmented reality (AR), a tech**logy that overlays virtual graphics onto a user’s field of view, may turn out to be a very useful tool for surgical planning and collaboration. HoloEyes, a Japanese firm that aims to bring AR into the operating room, has released a video that gives a glimpse of such a future where surgeons waving their arms in the air as they analyze and manipulate 3D tomography scans.
HoloEyes isn’t revealing much about their tech**logy, but we can see it uses Microsoft’s HoloLens (http://www.medgadget.com/2016/07/hololens-hands-want.html) as the visual interface.
