Council president Awadhesh Kumar Verma said that debt is constantly increasing in other states, but in the last five years the debt in Uttar Pradesh has reduced by 25 percent. Uttar Pradesh has set a great example for other states with efficient financial management. He said that Uttar Pradesh has taken a loan of Rs 81,952 crore in the year 2020-21, while in the year 2024-25 it has taken a loan of Rs 61,395 crore. According to the State Power Utility 2024-25 report of Power Finance Corporation, Andhra Pradesh took a loan of Rs 31,375 crore in the year 2020-2021, which increased to Rs 77,600 crore in the year 2024-2025. Maharashtra took a loan of Rs 38,254 crore, which increased to Rs 90,659 crore in five years. Debt has also increased in these states? Rajasthan’s debt increased from Rs 53,030 crore to Rs 98,488 crore, Tamil Nadu’s debt increased from Rs 1,37,632 crore to Rs 1,88,411 crore, Jharkhand’s debt increased from Rs 2re,31 crore Telangana’s debt increased from Rs 31,032 crore to Rs 59,230 crore, Karnataka’s debt increased from Rs 29,795 crore increased.
