The cake probably tastes like shit because you need to have it a certain density and the frosting having to be a a certain way or something. Dope tho, I’d still get it.

Nobody else is pointing out the chocolate under the fondant. Looks like a modified ganache which can harden to give the structure good integrity. That could allow for high quality cake underneath it without worrying if the density could support it. Don’t like fondant? Scrape it off & problem solved. I’m thinking these might be some really tasty cakes that the fondant haters are dismissing.

You have to appreciate how the fondant does not go that far down, usually these are like 40% fondant and taste really bad but these look super clean

Panicked, he reaches to get his phone from the table. The phone and table are one elaborate layered cake.
He tries to run outside, but the door is cake!
He manages to break through and jump in the car. It won’t start. Engine is cake.
Terrified, he looks in the rear view mirror and sees a neighbour walking past the end of the driveway. He begins to shout, frantically opening the car door. He tries to clamber from the car…but he can’t feel his legs.
His legs are cake (probably Swiss rolls, I dunno)

So how come these all appear to be real cake – that guy on TV makes all his “cakes” out of styrofoam, pvc, wire, glue and rebar, covered in frosting.
