For weeks, Phil was saying he wasn’t going to play Borderlands 3 when his endgame all along was that he was going to beg for someone to gift him the game. I have been saying this for a while, phil is going to use the “I can’t afford games” scheme for most of the hardcore begging season. He wants to keep every single cent he makes and not spend a dime on his streaming. Phil is willing to blatantly lie and come up with every excuse in the book just so he can convince and manipulate his loyal viewers/paypigs to buy him everything.
